| BIKHAR GONPA DRUBDEY
Bikhar Goenpa Drubdey is located in Samkhar Gewog under Trashigang dzongkhag at a place where Drubthob Thongmeth Dorji’s disciples had meditated.
In 1990, the villagers, gomchens and monks of Bikhar community appealed to H.E. Gyeltshen Trulku to start a Drubdey at this place to meet the religious need of the people. Considering the appeal, the Rimpoche started the Drubdey in 1993 with eight monks. He was supported by local people. The Goenpa was named as Thinley Yarpheling. Today it is being managed with support from the Government.
It is well connected by road and has both electricity and telephone connection. |
